Lindley Jude’s Newborn SessionÂ
Traveling in-home studio Newborn Baby Photographer Portland Oregon
I couldn’t believe it when this trip all fell at the most perfect time. I recently lost my Grandfather (Opa), I’m getting ready for my eldest daughter to graduated high school, I’m gearing up for all my kids being home this summer as I filled up my days with a lot of newborn due dates!
It’s been a crazy couple years and I really wanted a little work trip.
So once I heard Maggie had her baby a couple weeks early, I knew I could possibly get away Mother’s Day weekend, and boy was it amazing! Not only because I got to have a little Mom’s getaway, but I got to see the most amazing people as they embark on this incredible journey through motherhood.
Years ago I photographed Cory (Dad) proposing to Maggie (Mom). It was so amazing and all of Maggie’s family was secretly watching. It’s a time I’ll always remember. So to watch them grow up and become parents is just so special.
When I saw Lindley for the first time I had to giggle over how much she looked like her mom; it was uncanny! I would say 9/10 babies all look exactly like their Dads as newborns (sorry, Mom’s! All the work, no credit, lol!) But this little girl was a spitting image of her mama!
I was a little worried about LJ’s session as she was a little bigger than I normally do and older, but OH MY GOSH! She literally was a dream. Like, so incredible I felt like I needed to be pinked with how amazing she was.
After having a special day indoors with my traveling newborn setups, we went outdoors to the desert! Oh Lordy, the heat, the sun… it was AMAZING!
Thank you Cory and Maggie for the honor in documenting this special time for you!
When Grandparents (in this case just Grandma) is in town, I LOVE adding Grandparents into some of the images. Lindley is JoyJoy’s first grandbaby and what a special gift it is to have her here for this special time!
