Traveling Newborn Photographer | Portland Oregon
Handsome Baby Boy, Henry Joseph • Oregon Traveling Newborn Studio
One of Portlands Top 3 Family & Newborn Photographers for 2021 & 2022
This little man is a very wanted and prayed for baby boy. Childbearing wasn’t easy and had many years for them to question if another baby would be in God’s plans, but Henry sure was!
Henry was 5 days new and even though he looks so sweet in so many images, it definitely took a little extra time to get him posed. We joked that he was on his terms, just like how he came into this world.
I was able to do many different setups and poses with him. His gallery turned out beautiful and his parents absolutely adored his photos!
These clients were such a dream to work with. I enjoyed every single minute with them. Everything went so smoothly and they loved how easy and beautiful their entire experience was.
Thank you and congratulations to this beautiful family for trusting me with these very special memories. I know that you will have fond memories of this experience and sincerely hope to see you again soon!

Seriously Henry’s big brother was just an amazing boy! I loved working with them!
Tips for a Smooth Newborn Session
- Book a photographer that has a style you like and get along well with – a good rapport is important, especially if your photographer is responsible for creating genuine, beautiful portraits of your family!
- Have baby in a zip-up sleeper or in a diaper with a soft (no texture) blanket on. One layer only, and no clothes that you have to pull over their heads. This minimizes disturbing your baby when your photographer prepares them to start shooting their photos.
- Having a pacifier, even if used just to distract your baby while he/she is being posed, will help your photographer tremendously.
- Don’t plan anything else on shoot day – some sessions go quickly, and some take a little longer. It all depends on how your baby responds to being handled, posed, and how they’re feeling that day.
- Give baby a bath the morning of your shoot – this makes little heads of hair soft and fluffy, and also gently stimulates your baby before the session to make them nice and sleepy for their photos.
